Thank you for everyone who entered my contest. You guys are awesome. Yes, I know it isn’t the 14th anymore. I selfishly went to celebrate my daddy’s birthday in person down in St George. We had a great time with a movie, dinner, and dessert.
So I thought it might be fun if I included you all in the moment of the contest drawing. Since you must be present to win at so many other places, I thought we could do a sort of virtual present to win.
Here is the hat:

Of course it’s a Tinker Bell Hat because pixie dust seems to bode well for people who want to win contests.
Then I added the all important names to the recipe:

Then I got the child:

And the winner of the awesome book, Eyes Like Mine is:

Kristina from Pulsipher Predilections has won a copy of Eyes Like Mine!
And the child goes in for a second name:

All nepotism aside, the child genuinely pulled Helen Belen from the hat which made me laugh a lot. Helen has won a fabulously awesome copy of English Trifle signed by Josi Kilpack!
And because I am the kind of person I am and I had sooooooo many entrants (thank you all very much) I decided to send the kid after a third name. What the heck. And he pulled out:

Blue won a signed copy of Farworld!
Thanks to everyone who entered. I think it was interesting how many of us would go back to meet grandparents. The impact of a good grandparent in a child’s life is exponential. I miss my grandma every day in every way. I wish you all a great weekend and Happy Reading!!

Woohoo!! That kid knows what’s what. Nepotism rocks.
This has been the year of Helen Belen. I won a $100 shopping spree at the grocery store and a couch for my friend this year. Yay!
Trying not to pout – congrats to the winners!
Yay for the winners! Guess I’ll pull out the plastic and make a purchase. Yay for me!
Dang! Wish I would have done it! I love free books! lol.
Congrats to all the winners! Thanks, Julie, for an awesome contest! Congrats again on your book. Can’t wait to read it!
I’ve been looking for you book, can’t wait to buy it! Congrats on the release! next time I have family in Oak City, I’ll have to have them swing by your store and pick up a copy for me.
Julie, I know I told you this before(on Writingonthewall) but I wanted to expand. I read your book, “Eyes like mine.” And was very impressed with the creativeness of the idea. (actually, it first it scared me because of my own WIP, but then I read it) I have thought over and over about your pioneer insight and I wanted to say “thanks.” You enlighted me with your comparsion of them helping us through their hardships. Trying to help save a generation indeed. Very profound words and thoughts. Again I wanted to say, you did a great job. Thanks for writing it.
